TYREPLUS together with Michelin recently inaugurated its first international car servicing center concept in the country as part of the Michelin global network of professionals in car maintenance. Located along Dr. Arcadio Santos Avenue in San Dionisio, Parañaque City, the comprehensive car service center offers a wide choice of major tire brands, lubricants, batteries, suspension and other services. Aside from Michelin, its other premium brand partners are BFGoodrich, Mobil, Total, Denso, Bendix and Hitachi.
The new service center’s goal is to bring an all-inclusive car care, transparent service and inviting experience to the country. Through a standardized vehicle safety check, Tyreplus’s highly skilled staff will deliver customized advice to match consumer needs at an affordable price. Various tire products and services included in the “one-stop shop” concept are fitment, repair, wheel balancing and alignment, as well as lubricant, filter and battery, including brake servicing. All this professional servicing are applicable to different types of passenger cars, sedans, vans and SUVs.
Present during the event was Michelin Philippines chief representative Michael Nunag who said, “Tyreplus” targets to offer convenient, trustworthy and comprehensive car care services to local consumers—preventive car care and ensuring safety for cars and tires equates to peace of mind.”
Also, Tyreplus Chief Operating Officer Ronald Ang took time to explain through a presentation the importance of measuring service experience and its order of satisfaction. It all begins with service quality followed by service initiation, vehicle pick-up, service facility, and service advisor. “For me, it’s all about the customer’s overall experience that really matters. It’s all about delivering solutions and creating that value to benefit the customer,” he said.
Meanwhile, Development Distribution Manager Beltran Yturriaga presented an interesting pitch about Tyreplus, main differences from other centers as a one-stop shop for car servicing. For them, the customer interaction already begins at the doorstep. Here, the car-care supervisor is the one to welcome the customer and inquire about the visit. All information will be gathered by the Supervisor in order for him to determine what advice to give. Once determine, highly skilled technician will be instructed to conduct a free checkup with the customer in order to explain what wrong with their cars. In this process, the technician also acts as a consultant on what products and services are needed.
The supervisor then refers the customer to the “Expert Wall,” which displays clear illustrations of recommended services for ease of understanding. Afterward, skilled technicians perform the servicing according to the manufacturer’s standards utilizing appropriate tools and equipment. Once the work is done, the supervisor explains in detail the invoice and advice upcoming services, if any.
Tyreplus was established in 2002 and has over 2,000 centers in 17 different countries across the globe. The first Tyreplus in the country is currently operated by Trend Performance Centrum Inc., under North Trend Marketing Corp. The servicing center is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
