WHEN reality-show alumnus-influencer-model Pat Sugui first tried the DM’s Lite, he was amazed at how, well, light it was.
“I’ve been wearing these for five hours, and I walked in them for long distances. They’re very comfortable,” Sugui said of his Evade 3-Eye Shoe in Navy.
The unisex DM’s Lite line takes everything people love about the Dr. Martens’s DNA— comfort, durability, that iconic look—and delivers it in an ultra-lightweight package. This is thanks to the innovative Phylon midsole. Each pair comes with a SoftWair memory foam insole with moisture-wicking technology.
DM’s Lite is designed for fans of the brand, and those who have always wanted to try wearing Docs but have been worried that they would be too heavy.
“I love Docs but, honestly, they’re statement shoes and boots, but not really designed for long walks or even dancing. These [DM’s Lite] are perfect,” Sugui said.
He recalled trying to dance in his Docs on TV and how difficult it was. DM’s Lite, Sugui said, would be just perfect for such outings.
The Evade 3-Eye Shoe has an upper mix of mesh and synthetic quarter panels for performance breathability (perfect for summer) and a classic ghillie lace system that is contemporary and practical.
It is available in Black, Navy, Mid-Gray and Dark Red.
By the way, summer is officially here and that means being hot and sweaty all day. For people like me (meaning those who wear full makeup almost every day), that translates to a drastic change in my daytime routine.
I’m used to wearing liquid foundation all the time and that’s the first to go, unless I’m going to a party (a very rare occasion).
Usually, it’s just brow products, concealer and lipstick these days. I’m thinking if I should add powder to that list for a more finished look, but I am staying away from the powdery look.
My friend recently bought the Becca Perfect Skin Mineral Powder Foundation. She sent me a picture on Viber and she looked amazing wearing it.
Another powder that could work for summer is the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder SPF 15 PA++. This is very sheer. I haven’t tested this in the summer, as I received this as a gift in November, so I am not sure whether it will cake when your face is sweaty. Benefit Porefessional Balm is also a summer-friendly product. Its siliconey finish is perfect for our weather. It blurs the pores and mattifies the skin.
