IT’S hard to believe that despite the continuing pressures of inflation, Autohub Group, the official distributor of Rolls-Royce cars in the country, was undeterred in introducing the latest iteration of the Phantom, one of the most recognizable models in the luxurious car company’s lineup.
The launch was held recently at the BGC Arts Center, a venue that caters to both visual and performing arts at the fast-rising Bonifacio Global City.
Autohub President Willie Tee Ten didn’t mince his words when he said,” Rolls-Royce is luxury royalty, and the Phantom is the jewel in Rolls Royce’s crown. The Autohub Group is delighted to launch, the all-new Phantom today, resetting the benchmark for ultimate luxury in the Philippines, confirming the importance of the Filipino market for Rolls-Royce and sustaining the company’s vision of providing exceptional customer experiences.”
David Kim, Asia-Pacific Regional Sales Manager for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars who graced the event, went further when he said, “new Phantom is an exceptional automobile that is truly one of one, it symbolizes the ultimate presence, manifests unmistakable power and showcases authentic handcrafted as only a Rolls-Royce can do.”
He added,” In addition, with cutting-edge innovations like a unique Architecture of Luxury underpinning, our famed magic carpet ride experience enhanced to near silence, and the possibilities of displaying Bespoke Artwork in the gallery, we are confident that the new Phantom will once again take its place at the peerless pinnacle of the super luxury landscape in the Philippines.”
Indeed, the new Phantom is breathtaking, it retains the sheer power and presence that Rolls-Royce is known for.
It now sports an all-new twin-turbocharged V12 engine that can reach 100 kph in just 5.3 seconds and a claimed top speed of 250 kph. But, it is said that this will be hardly discernible for those who are inside the Phantom, as the famed magic carpet ride experience has been enhanced to near-silence level, thanks to the new technologies developed by the company.
Meanwhile, underneath its sculpted body, the all-new aluminum, which Rolls Royce dubs “Architecture of Luxury,” makes the new Phantom lighter, stiffer and quieter. The unique innovation will underpin future models of the marque.
The divine selection of materials crafted by the finest artisan was used extensively inside the interior as such being inside the Phantom is akin to entering a luxury hotel suite.
A selection of rear seating options is available from lounge to individual format, but the technology is nicely hidden under curated woods, leather and billeted metal.
But obviously the interior’s centerpiece is the Gallery, a design that reinterprets cars dashboard for the first time in 100 years. A piece of hardened glass spans the entire length of the dashboard, and this sets the stage for patrons to display spectacular works of art if they so desire.
Whether its traditional media, or material fascination with wood, fabrics or metal or even personal memorabilia such displaying vintage baseball card collection. Rolls-Royce welcomes challenges to convention with this new Bespoke capability. Patrons can even work with their favorite artist to create artistic interpretations of their taste.
With the almost limitless degree of personalization available for its privilege patrons, there is little doubt, that the new Phantom will stand peerless at the pinnacle of luxury, a creation truly one, of one.
