DAVAO CITY—Tagum City, currently the scene of expansion of some corporate retail operations, installed a new system at its local business-permitting and -licensing office to speed up application and renewal of business permits.
This year, its city collection officials will retest the efficacy of the 3-Step Business One-Stop Shop (3-BOSS), which they applied last year on its annual processing of business permits and collection of business and real-estate taxes.
The city information office said the 3-BOSS system worked well last year when it simplified the process into three steps: assess, pay and release, “all to be transacted in one location.”
“With this quick pacing process, a greater number of permits are being released per day and, in fact, 220 permits were released on the first day of the renewal operation on January 3,” Tagum City chief business-license officer Noeme Evelyn Y. Cacayorin said.
She said the new system aims “to efficiently cater to Tagumenyo businessmen in their transactions.”
