A senior lawmaker on Wednesday called on newly-appointed Maharlika Investment Corp. (MIC) President and CEO Rafael D. Consing Jr. to transparently address the concerns surrounding a fraud/estafa case involving him and his mother.
PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Monday appointed Office of the Presidential Adviser for Investment & Economic Affairs (OPAIEA) Executive Director Rafael D. Consing Jr. as the first head of the Maharlika Investment Corporation (MIC), and House Committee on Ways and Means Chairman Joey Sarte Salceda promptly called him the right person for the job.
DESPITE the huge majority vote that approved the Maharlika Investment Fund (MIF) bill in both chambers of Congress, Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri still expects some parties to question the law before the Supreme Court, but is confident it can “stand the test of judicial scrutiny.”
