With its dominance in the gaming industry of the Philippines, Bloomberry Resorts Corporation’s (BRC) Solaire Resort and Casino is further shaking things up as it officially unveils the new Sky Tower, a lavish leisure complex expected to add more living, gaming, dining and entertainment options for its guests.
The Sky Tower is a 258,721 square meter expansion consisting of a 312 all-suite hotel, a world-class theater, additional VIP gaming areas, an exclusive restaurant and whisky bar for VIP gamers, and state-of-the-art meeting rooms.
The existing Solaire Resort and Casino, is a USD 1.2 Billion integrated destination resort on an 8.3-hectare site in Manila, Philippines. It is the first premier integrated resort among the four players in the 120-hectare Entertainment City – considered as the country’s rising new tourism hotspot expected to rival the success of integrated resorts in Macau, Singapore and Las Vegas.
“The thrill at Solaire continues with the opening of Sky Tower. Yet again, we are on track and on spec with this opening – all in all only 617 days since Solaire’s inaugural in March,” said Enrique K. Razon Jr., BRC chairman.
“The Sky Tower elevates Solaire yet another step higher into the very top tier of world-class integrated resorts, and is a tremendous game-changer in providing best-in-class guest experience,” added Thomas Arasi, BRC president and chief operating officer.
Standing in over 17 storeys, the five-star Sky Tower features luxurious suites that are as spacious as 936 square meters. Even while in a tropical setting, the suites exude sophistication that had craftily been developed by international and local design experts.
A milestone for the developers of the Sky Tower is The Theatre, a 1,760-seat lyric theatre designed to provide a superior audio-visual experience for all local and international entertainment shows. Theatre is also connected to a new multi-level parking garage that can accommodate and secure over 3,000 vehicles.
Expansion at the entertainment vicinity includes new gaming facilities. The Sky Tower boasts of 10 spacious and well-appointed gaming salons with 66 VIP gaming tables and 223 slot machines. VIP gamers will also have an exclusive access to the House of Zhou, patterned after a famous restaurant chain in Hong Kong and China, and to The Macallan Whisky Bar, the first Whisky Bar in the country.
The Sky Tower features two restaurants, the Waterside Restobar and Oasis Garden Café. Waterside Restobar makes the most of locally-available products and transforms them into Latin American and Mediterranean feasts. The dining experience is enhanced with a wide range of tapas, some of which had been inspired by local dishes, alongside an extensive selection of wines from the restaurant’s own wine cellar.
Conversely, the Oasis Garden Café is set against a relaxing garden setting overlooking two waterfalls. The Café will be open from breakfast to evening cocktails.
Meanwhile, the Sky Tower’s created area for functions is the Forum, a 2,000 square meeting facility which includes eight meeting rooms, two boardrooms, a column-free grand ballroom and a flexible pre-function area. All rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art presentation equipment and are provided with full banquet and catering facilities.
The expansion project will furthermore have retail boutiques for designer brands, set to be presented by mid quarter of next year.
