SMART Communications laid out its exclusive deals for the iPad Mini 2 at a recent event. As part of the brand’s latest service upgrade featuring its newest devices and enhanced LTE plans, Smart is giving subscribers an offer touted as the easiest and most affordable way to own an iPad.
Inclusive of the basic P599 package is an iPad Mini 2 tablet, which comes with 1.7 gigabyte of monthly data allocation and free 1.1 GB of music, movie and video streaming via Spinnr, iFlix, YouTube and such other platforms for the first three months, beginning with the plan’s registration.
Delegates from the communications giant said the promo is targeted toward students and millennials who are always on the go and like to keep updated and connected in the digital age.
The iPad Mini 2 deal coincides with the brand’s ongoing Brokada road
trip across the country, which has already covered Manila, Baguio,
Bohol, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu and Ilocos. It is set to visit other major cities, like Olongapo, Zamboanga, Bulacan and Iloilo.
The nationwide tour features celebrities, like beauty queens Binibining Pilipinas-Universe MJ Lastimosa and Ms. International 2013 Bea Santiago; athletes Gretchen Ho, Michelle and Mark Gumabao; and singers Michael Pangilinan and Christian Bautista.
This year Smart has also embarked on a “game-changing and category-defining” offer of the most affordable yet 4G pocket Wi-Fi, priced at P888.
“During the previous years, it used to be more expensive in terms of cost when you want to avail for your own Wi-Fi to bring with you anywhere you go. Smart pioneered in launching a P888 price point that can power up to 10 connections with a powerful wireless connection,” said Jaja Jesalva, senior product manager of Smart Bro Postpaid.
She added, “Smart Bro postpaid is about providing gadget plans through our mobile portfolio that includes products from Samsung to Apple, plus laptops from Acer, Dell and Lenovo. This year we’re also introducing our newest innovation, the LTE CarFi, which can power up your Wi-Fi inside your car when you’re on a road trip.”
The LTE CarFi device and a pocket Wi-Fi hot spot offers the same kind of data-sharing feature. However, the LTE CarFi, which is manufactured by Huawei, is designed to be used plugged into the vehicle’s built-in cigarette-lighter socket, thereby taking away the anxiety of depleting the battery of your pocket Wi-Fi device. The LTE CarFi also works as a charging dock for smart devices via USB.
To access, a user must download
the Huawei HiLink App to their smart devices.
