Global snack company Mondelēz Philippines was recognized, in the words of the Philippine Red Cross Rizal (PRC), as a “beloved partner” at the annual awarding ceremony, in tribute to the company’s many successful collaborations with the PRC Parañaque City branch.
The maker of Eden Cheese and Cheez Whiz spreads, as well as the marketer of internationally iconic snack brands such as Tang powdered beverages, Oreo cookies, and Cadbury Dairy Milk and Toblerone chocolates, has been an active PRC partner since 2011 and contributed globally for disaster response. Mondelēz Philippines has donated funds to victims of Typhoons Yolanda (international code name Haiyan) and Pablo (international code name Bopha), and Tropical Storm Sendong (international code name Washi); and contributed to several PRC fund-raising activities.
In addition, Mondelēz Philippines employees have, likewise, participated in blood drives and shares personal donations to support PRC’s community service efforts not just in Parañaque City, but also across the Philippines.
Said by Shanahan Chua, Mondelēz Philippines head for Corporate and Government Affairs, “We believe that our success is dependent on the well-being of the communities where we operate. It is, for this reason, that we are committed to continue to support disaster-relief efforts, as well as provide aid and assistance when and where it is needed.”
