PLDT Inc. announced on Monday it entered into a technical-support deal with the group founded by businessman Jose Maria A. Concepcion III.
The agreement involves “the establishment of an end-to-end enablement program that covers all aspects needed to participate in the digital marketplace,” PLDT Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan said.
“We are confident that this partnership with Go Negosyo will positively contribute to government programs to improve the lives of our people by promoting digital entrepreneurship,” Pangilinan added.
He claims the deal will support the program of the Department of Trade and Industry to equip more than 100,000 micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) with digital solutions by 2020.
According to Pangilinan, the agreement prompts PLDT to will provide mentorship, access to online marketplace and access to funding to jump-start the operations of MSMEs.
“The enablement program covers much of what business owners need to ready themselves in expanding their operations and putting up a presence in the online market space, as we’ve all seen how e-commerce has become the new frontier among Filipino consumers,” Concepcion said.
