PHOENIX Petroleum and Cebu Pacific agreed to further bolster their partnership by expanding the oil firm’s services to the airline to a total of 17 domestic airports.
Cebu Pacific recently granted Phoenix Petroleum the contract to provide into-plane services in Bacolod, Dumaguete and soon in Cebu-Mactan airports, aside from the fuel-storage and bridging services Phoenix currently provides them.
“This activity covers refueling of aircraft at the airport. From our refueler truck at the airport, we pump jet fuel into aircraft fuel tank,” said Phoenix Petroleum Vice President Of Corporate Affairs Raymond Zorilla in a text message when sought for comment.
Phoenix Petroleum has also started servicing Cebu Pacific in Roxas Airport in Capiz and in San Jose airport in Occidental Mindoro, the first airport it is serving in Luzon. These two new additional airports increase Phoenix Petroleum’s total number of domestic airports served to 17—one in Luzon, eight in the Visayas and eight in Mindanao.
“We thank Cebu Pacific for their continued trust in Phoenix Petroleum, and are proud to be their partner in helping fuel their passengers’ journeys one flight at a time,” Phoenix Petroleum Chief Operating Officer Henry Albert Fadullon said. “We look forward to serving Cebu Pacific in more destinations as we aspire to be the Filipinos’ indispensable partner in their journeys.”
Phoenix Petroleum has been the exclusive logistics provider of Cebu Pacific in Mindanao providing hauling and into-plane services since 2005 when the oil company was just starting in Davao City.
In January the two companies renewed their supply agreement for jet fuel through Phoenix’s subsidiary, Subic Petroleum Trading & Transport Philippines Inc.
Phoenix Petroleum is the No. 1 independent and fastest-growing oil company in the country. From a small enterprise in Davao City with only five stations and a few commercial accounts, the company has grown to 450 retail stations and serves various industrial accounts across the country.
Phoenix continues to expand to more businesses this year. This includes convenience-store retailing through Philippine FamilyMart; and asphalt manufacturing, marketing and distribution through Phoenix Asphalt Philippines Inc.
Phoenix also recently signed a memorandum of understanding with China National Offshore Oil Corp.
