UNIVERSITY of Perpetual Help swept Letran, 25-17, 25-17, 25-17, to remain Season 93 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) juniors’ volleyball champion for the fourth straight season on Thursday at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.
Ivan Encila and Noel Michael Kampton unloaded 16 and 15 points, respectively, while season Most Valuable Player (MVP) Kirth Rosos chipped in nine hits.
Graduating Jody Margaux also made as many nine points and was named Finals MVP. Rosos and protected the floor with 15 receptions and nine digs.
Severo, who had an all-around game in their 25-16, 25-15, 20-25, 25-20 Game One win on Monday, unleashed 11 hits with 23 receptions and six digs in Game Two.
The title was also the 11th for Perpetual Help.
“We’re so happy that all the hard work, sacrifices we’ve done have finally bore fruit,” Head Coach Sandy Rieta said. “We’re like family, I’m their father and this court is our home.”
