THE country’s oil companies are raising pump prices again for the seventh consecutive week.
In separate advisories, the oil firms will raise gasoline prices by P0.45 per liter, diesel by P1.30 per liter and kerosene by P0.90 per liter.
Pilipinas Shell, Phoenix Petroleum, PTT Philippines and Eastern Petroleum will adjust their prices at 6 a.m. of Tuesday, September 12.
Flying V, meanwhile, will implement its price adjustment at 12:01 p.m. of Tuesday. Other oil firms are expected to follow suit.
The price hike this week reflects movements in the international market, they said. The Department of Energy (DOE), for its part, said it could not mediate the prices of petroleum products because this industry has been deregulated.
“We can only monitor and ensure the quality of our fuel products,” the DOE said.
