CHRISTMAS is just around the corner and Ayala Land’s largest sustainable estate Nuvali in Santa Rosa, Laguna, welcomed the public recently with a light and sound show in partnership with The Walt Disney Co. Philippines.
In line of Ayala Land’s festival of Lights is the celebration of its 10th Anniversary. The Disney’s magic known for its classical animated movies showing brave, young and inspiring characters that ayala wishes to share this holiday season. The show will run every 30 minutes from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and can be experienced at the Nuvali football field, also known as The Fields, beside Ayala Mall Solenad. The spectacular show will enable the public to experience a dancing field of 5,000 enchanted LED tulips.
“Reimagine The Magic: A Festival of Lights,” three famous all-time favorite Disney classical songs will be featured at the show. The well-loved Disney soundtracks such as “When You Wish Upon a Star,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Let it Go “ in an orchestral renditions arranged by the seasoned composer and former musical director of Hong Kong Disneyland, Rony Fortich. The medley is complemented by the spectacular lighting effects once again by Voltaire de Jesus who has worked before on previous light shows. Children and young at heart will be pleased to listen and experience the magic of Disney in a new way. By weaving the well-loved Disney songs to Ayala’s Festivities, this show brings magical moments to families and Disney fans of all ages.
Viewers can look forward to the music of Disney including a 50-meter spiral light tunnel leading to the magical field that has turned into a popular attraction from the previous editions. Nuvali presents uniqueness in terms of the actual venue of the light show. A scattered open field allows the spectators to enjoy the thousands of vividly colored tulip stems that change its colors, tube lights and light spheres that resemble magical orbs in a large, open area.
Within the estate, guests will enjoy the holiday season with a wide range of activities for the whole family and friends, as well as shopping and dining at Solenad to exploring the off-road biking and running trails. Relax at the 4-hectare multifunctional lake and listen to the humming birds from its sanctuary. Visit the Christmas bazaar that will run until January 6, 2019. Expect a fun-filled memories at Nuvali where families may opt to spend the weekend at Seda Hotel. Nuvali’s “Festival of Lights” provides cool weather without having to travel too far from the city.
For the first time, guests can also enjoy the festival of lights while supporting a cause. The show will have a fund-raising event for the Hero Foundation, which supports families of fallen soldiers. Part of the P50 donation will directly go to the foundation. As a way of thanking donors, each donation will include a fast access to the show, a spot in the bleacher seats and Disney-themed bottled water. Interested guests may register and pay online or inside the venue itself. Accessibility wise for commuters because P2P is available for the riding public for a comfortable ride. Pick up from Makati are Glorietta 2 Palm drive and Circuit Lane. Trips run every 30 minutes for P150.
“We’ve had guests coming from Metro Manila and from neighboring provinces such as Batangas, Cavite and Laguna. Our intent is to bring Ayala Land’s Christmas tradition to the communities south of Metro Manila,” said John Estacio, Nuvali general manager. He also said that aside from spreading the Yuletide season, the show emphasizes the natural beauty of Nuvali by deriving inspiration from nature as seen with the tulips and anahaw like light installations. The estate’s open spaces and cool holiday breeze also encourages the community to spend more time outdoors.
