There are so many reasons to be excited about the show Little Big Shots, which begins airing this weekend prime time on ABS-CBN.
First of all, it will feature extraordinarily talented, witty and charming kids who are set to capture the hearts of viewers.
Indeed, Little Big Shots will celebrate the most brilliant Filipino and foreign kids from all over the country, around the world and even the Internet, and their skills go beyond singing and dancing. Taking centerstage are kids aged 2 to 12 years old who have remarkable intellect, showmanship and abilities that will thrill viewers of all ages every week. But, aside from what they can do, the show will also put in the limelight their big personalities when they express themselves through spontaneous banter.
Second, it’s hosted by Billy Crawford, who will bring in more joy and laughter in the show with his funny and exciting interviews with the talented kids. “It’s my first time to host a talent show where I’m the only person from showbiz, because I usually work with people who are already big shots. But here, you’d be surprised by how the kids carry the show, and I’m here to let their personalities shine. All I can say is the kids featured on the show are very exceptional, and they really deserve to be called little big shots,” Billy shared. “I grew up performing, and I know how rewarding it is to entertain people. But in Little Big Shots, you won’t be able to expect what the kids can do, their wit, and they are all very charming,” he added.
While Billy is very happy for this new gig, some netizens are not as earlier reports indicated that Ogie Alcasid would be hosting the Philippine edition of Little Big Shots. Billy was quick to clarify that, yes, both of them auditioned for the show but it was Ogie who was one of the first people to congratulate him when he got the job.
“Let’s move from this issue and concentrate on the kids, instead,” he said. And with good reason, as this week’s pilot episode will feature an abundance of talent and cuteness from Pinoy kids who come from different corners of the country. This weekend’s lineup include a young pole dancer, an adorable singer-dancer, a hip-hop enthusiast, an expert fish deboner and a geography genius.
ABS-CBN’s Little Big Shots is the Philippine version of the show that has been adapted in 20 countries, and was created by popular hosts Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Harvey. Steve hosts the US version, which has aired two successful seasons on NBC. It was in fact in the latest season that The Voice Kids winner Elha Nympha guested and wowed Steve and the rest of the world with her rendition of Sia’s “Chandelier”.
Meanwhile, netizens will also get to witness the kids’ impressive performances and funny antics in the program’s online component, which will be hosted by Eric Nicolas.

Was able to catch up first episodes of Little Big Shots and it was very entertaining. Kids really are little angels with innocent thinking, full of dreams and talents. My favorite so far was the 3-year-old who is best in geography. I am reminded of my little self who loves maps, countries, places and all – but not as smart as him. Looking forward for more talented Pinoy kids out there!
