Ten seconds into the presscon of Iñigo Pascual, everyone in the room was ready to marry him. The boy-next-door who is the newest video jock (VJ) for music channel Myx undoubtedly charmed our socks off. He’s such a sweet talker, and he stares at you as if he’s your clandestine lover. Apologies to Elio and Oliver but I was ready to call Iñigo by his name at one point.
But alas the young boy is taken…well almost. People say that he is cozying up with his loveteam, young actress Maris Racal, and while they are not in a formal relationship yet, he boldly declared that she is his soulmate. Poor, unfortunate me. Upon his revelation, I wanted to sell Maris’s soul to Ursula, the sea witch.
Back to Iñigo: he reveals that his joining the roster of Myx VJs comes as a blessing. He really wanted to become a VJ since he was first interviewed by the music channel promoting his single “Dahil Sa ’Yo” (which, if we have a Song of the Year award for 2017, would be a great contender). He told the crew that if ever they would be holding auditions for one, he would gamely do it.
Myx saw his potential and after a few discussions, they offered Iñigo his dream job.
Iñigo joins the Myx roster of VJs Robi Domingo, Sharlene San Pedro, Ai de la Cruz, Turs Daza, Sunny Kim and Donny Pangilinan.
Passionate about OPM, Iñigo aims to promote local music more to his generation. “If we want our music to be loved in other places, we should love it first in our own country. How are you going to bring it to another country if you don’t love your own?” he said. At that point, I wanted to be his OPM First Lady.
Anyway, with his passion for local music, it’s very apt that Iñigo will be the face of the Myx Daily Top 10 Pinoy Edition aired every Thursday, as well as Pinoy Myx. Besides these OPM-laden shows, Iñigo will share hosting chores with the other VJs doing Myx International Top 20, Myx Versions, Pop Myx and My Myx.
Myx is available via SkyCable Channel 23. For more information on Myx programming or if you just want to stalk Iñigo like I do, visit www.myxph.com or like @MYX.Philippines on Facebook and follow Myx on Instagram (2myxph) and twitter (@MYXPhilippines).

Top-rating La Luna Sangre on ABS-CBN is on its last two weeks and the story line happening in the show is something they are calling “The Apocalypse.” The suspenseful series is headlined by young stars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo. They play protagonists Tristan and Malia, respectively. Their archrival is the evil Sandrino, deliciously portrayed by Richard Gutierrez. Can Tristan and Malia defeat Sandrino and prevent The Apocalypse?
Aba hindi ko rin alam ’no!
What I know is that La Luna Sangre is the third installment of the hit Immortal trilogy. The show is one of the most-watched programs of the country and is always being buzzed about in social media. It even has an extended viewer experience via a web series, titled “Youtopia,” and a web site called Moonchasers.ph. It even has a filter (Mama RuPaul would gag! Akala niya siya lang may “TV filter” in the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race!) and game apps.
There’s even exclusive merchandise available at the ABS-CBN store.
Anyway, if you want to watch the last two weeks of La Luna Sangre, just tune into ABS-CBN prime-time block as it airs after FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. You can watch the show’s previous episodes if you want to relive the experience or play catch up via iwantTV or skyondemand.com.ph for SkyCable subscribers. @starcreatives is the handle to remember to get exclusive updates on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
