The Professional Regulation Commission’s Board of Accountancy (BOA) is recognizing the contribution of the four Ps (prominent, posthumous, pillars and performers) of the Accountancy profession who have made a significant impact.
The four Ps represent the Prominent Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) who are distinguished in the profession, those CPAs who have passed away (posthumous) but who during their time were equally prominent, the pioneer accounting schools that are considered pillars of the profession, and those higher education institutions (performers) that are recognized as consistent top performers in the CPA licensure examinations. This recognition initiative called the BOA 95 CPAs is one of the activities being undertaken to celebrate the 95th Anniversary of BOA creation and the establishment of the Accountancy profession in the Philippines,
An individual or organization may nominate candidates for the awards. The CPAs who can be nominated for the prominent and posthumous awards are those individuals who have sufficiently demonstrated professional competence, meaningfully participated in professional activities, significantly contributed to the advancement of the profession, and significantly uplifted the effective discharge of the profession’s social responsibility. For the pillars and performers awards, institutions that served as pillars in Accountancy education and recognized as top performers in the licensure examinations can be nominated.
