THE Bureau of Immigration is giving Australian nun Patricia Anne Fox another days to seek legal remedies to prevent her deportation following the agency’s denial of her motion for reconsideration.
If Fox fails to seek a reversal of the BI’s resolution, her deportation will likely become final and executory.
“The 30 days is for the period that she needs to file an appeal. If she fails to do so, she can voluntary present herself [to the BI] with the requirements [for her deportation,” BI Spokesman Dana Krizia Sandoval said.
Earlier, Justice Secretary Menardo I. Guevarra said Fox may still appeal the ruling of the BI either before the Department of Justice or the Office of the President.
