EDUCATION technology platform provider Edukasyon.ph seeks to continue to expand, following its recent feat to generate 1 million unique visits in a month.
“This milestone proves that students nowadays yearn for information that will help them succeed in the future,” Edukasyon.ph CEO and Founder Henry Motte-Muñoz said, while disclosing at least 65,000 student inquiries and applications coursed through the portal last year.
“But it doesn’t stop there. There’s still so much to be done in terms of helping students make informed higher education choices for their dream careers,” he added.
Edukasyon.ph is a one-stop channel that offers senior high school and college students a wide and comprehensive online database of education options and advice that would help them in their decision-making on which school and degree program to take and which scholarship programs they could apply for.
The users of the platform have access to more than 13,000 schools, 4,000 scholarship grants and 150 career paths offered in the country and abroad.
After its establishment in 2015, the company originally sought to provide a range of options that senior high school students in Metro Manila could search for and apply to.
Later on, it expanded to other regions in the country, with 40 percent of its recorded users coming from outside Manila.
Also, it offered services to related verticals, launching colleges, technical-vocational schools and study abroad search-and-apply programs.
Recently, the company partnered with Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University and University of Helsinki in Finland to be a part of their online education platform and provide all-inclusive details about the institution and their program offerings for the students to carefully assess.
“Two years ago, it was really difficult to get schools onboard with our online platform because schools were more accustomed to traditional marketing efforts and student acquisition strategies. Now, schools are more enthusiastic and open to a new approach and they are doubling down their efforts with us,” said Milan Franco, head of school partnerships.
“It is our mission to make education opportunities here and abroad available for every student. We continue to secure more partnerships like these to help Filipino students find the right education for their dream careers,” Motte-Muñoz added.
Edukasyon.ph has also been continuously strengthening its online presence through social-media campaigns that aim to provide informative and engaging content about student life, career paths, scholarships and study-abroad opportunities that could educate and inspire Filipino students.
He revealed they are also partnering with the Department of Education and local government units in conducting senior high and college fairs in schools and universities in the country.
In 2017 Edukasyon.ph conducted education fairs and workshops in Metro Manila, Baguio, Dasmariñas, Imus, Bacoor, Santa Rosa, Taytay, Urdaneta, Tacloban, Dipolog City, Zamboanga, Tagum and General Santos City.
The firm plans their rollout this year to Valenzuela, Malabon, Antipolo, Mandaluyong, Bulacan and Ilocos Norte.
By 2020 it seeks to help 50 million students in Southeast Asia make the right decision regarding their higher education.
