‘CHRIST has risen! Hallelujah! Let us rejoice and be glad!” Hope and faith are the greatest gifts of Easter. Hope makes us possess that unshakable confidence in God, in His ultimate triumph, and in His goodness and love.
Faith arms us with the belief that Christ has triumphed over evil despite the circumstances. Faith would then turn into joy as we realize that the promise to raise Jesus on the third day came true. This now turns into thankfulness, a wonderful feeling of gratitude and joy that floods our souls as we pray today.
The empty tomb tells us that Jesus’ bodily presence is not all. That He is truly alive—raised up and transformed! Think about this: if He is truly risen, so are we. The resurrection unites us with God and others. If we live in this way, we will transform the world.
God is a rewarder of those who will diligently seek Him. Whether we are man or woman has nothing to do with it. Our background has nothing to do with it. Our upbringing has nothing to do with it.
Our job, race, circumstances and even the embarrassing mess we’ve made with our life have nothing to do with it. But our Faith, above all, has Everything do with it!
Dear brothers and sisters, let us keep in our hearts that every blessing we enjoy was and is made possible by what Jesus accomplished on the cross for us. His love and obedience to the Father brought us closer to salvation. Because of what He did for us, we can have forgiveness for our sins, eternal life, health and healing in our bodies, prosperity and abundant life, joy and every other blessing only God Himself can ever give. All the wonderful blessings that come our way are rewards for diligently seeking God and believing what the Resurrection has done for us.
Let us all take this moment to say thank you Lord for the cross, thank you for saving my soul.
