AS of 12 noon on January 3, 2019, five national roads remain impassable to all types of vehicles due to road cut, landslide, and damaged bridge structure and approach brought by Tropical Depression Usman.
The Department of Public Works and Highways Bureau of Maintenance (DPWH-BOM) reported that concerned DPWH field offices are still clearing closed roads which include: Marikina-Infanta Road, K0114+838 in Barangay Magsaysay, Infanta, Quezon, due to road cut; DM Junction. Legazpi-Santo Domingo-Tabaco-Camarines Sur Boundary Road sections K0579+000, K579+100, K579+600, K579+920, K579+960, in Barangays Maynonong, Dapdap, Mayong in Tiwi, Albay, due to landslide; Buyo Bridge 2,
Legazpi City-Punta de Jesus Road, Molabago Area in Albay, due to damaged bridge approach and flood-control structures.
In Camarines Sur, affected roads include: Pili-Tigaon-Albay Boundary Road sections K0504+250, K0504+350, K504+490, K504+690, K504+720, K505+020, K0505+050, K0505+350, K505+480, K505+750 due to landslide; Baao-Iriga City-Nabua Road, K468+250, due to damaged Waras Bridge at K468+250.
Several road sections in Region 5 were also only one lane passable such as: Daang Maharlika Road sections K0284+337; K0284+600-K0284+650; K0267+617-K0267+642; K0251+481 to K0251+533 in Camarines Norte; Maligaya-Caramoan Road, K0568+100 in Bahay, Camarines Sur; CCR-Virac-San Miguel-Viga Road Section, CCR K0021+300 section in Barangay Kilikilihan, Municipality of San Miguel, Camarines Sur; CCR Pandan Candan-Caramoran-San Andres-Virac Road Section, K0156+700+100 Barangay Lubasi, San Andres, K0162+100 Barangay Manambrag, San Andres, K0172+440 Mayngaway, San Andres, K0158+300 Barangay Cabungahan, San Andres, K0125+740, Barangay Tubli, Municipality of Caramoan, K0146+950 Barangay Guiamlong, Municipality of Caramoan; and the Baras-Gigmoto-Viga Road, K0060+400 Barangay Sioron, Municipality of Gigmoto.
Partial cost of damage to roads and bridges has reached P2.49 billion, with P407.1 million damage in Region 4A and P2.083 billion in Region 5.
