Global automotive parts company Continental Temic Electronics Philippines has entered into an agreement with geothermal leader Energy Development Corporation (EDC) for supply of clean, reliable power for its facilities in Calamba, Laguna.
In line with Continental Temic’s thrust toward sustainable operations, the firm inked a two-year contract for 2.7 megawatts (MW) of geothermal power from EDC’s BacMan geothermal project, commencing on December 26, 2018.
“We chose EDC for its 100 percent renewable energy and for its sustainability programs, which are aligned with our company values,” said Continental Temic general manager Glenn Everett.
Continental Temic develops and manufactures components, modules and systems for the automotive industry. Its corporate strategy is focused on climate protection and energy efficiency.
