Microfinancial giant Cebuana Lhuillier offers a new service that allows clients to remit cash directly to their bank accounts.
The service applies to domestic remittance to accounts in Security Bank, Metrobank and all Bancnet member-banks.
The remit-to-account service utilizes Cebuana Lhuillier’s large network of more than 1,700 branches, where clients can send money to their bank accounts in real time similar to the regular money-deposit service of banks. Also, select Cebuana Lhuillier branches operate 24/7, making remit-to-account transactions unbound by banking hours. All money sent beyond banking hours will be credited the following day. “Cebuana Lhuillier has grown to develop services that are quick, convenient and this makes life less complicated for our clients. Domestic remittance has never been this easy and secure.
Remit-to-account means that money sent will immediately be received in the bank for safekeeping. That is one less thing to worry about.
This is just the first phase of the remit-to-account service. We plan to go international with this in the future,” Cebuana Lhuillier Services Corp. Vice President Philippe Andre D. Lhuillier said.
“Remit-to-account basically means being able to send your money directly to your bank account. This really makes it convenient for our clients.
The usual drill would be, first, you send the money and the receiver will pick up the money at a remittance center. Then, the receiver will take the money to the bank and deposit it into the bank account.
