CALL it business instinct, but when this writer asked Autohub President Willie Tee Ten why they chose Taytay, Rizal, as the location of their third Nissan dealership, he said, “We believe that east of Metro Manila is the next big thing in terms of growth.”
This was on the occasion of the opening of their third dealership on July 26 along the busy stretch of Manila East Road corner Cabrera Road in Barangay San Juan, Taytay, Rizal.
He added, “We’re very aggressive with the potential of Rizal because of the infrastructure from the south, they have C-6 already and they’re going to build more roads in this area.” He cited the rising cost of real estate in Manila as the reason people looking for a place to live will go out of Manila.
The new dealership sits on 2,786 square meters of lot area, it boasts of 312 sq m of display area and a 624-sq-m of mezzanine. The 1,400 square meters of service area can service seven vehicles at a time. Outside, it has a large parking area for customers and walk-in buyers.
The dealership also boasts acing the rigorous screening process of the Nissan Retail Concept, which is deemed as the highest standard of quality in customer care, by providing an exceptional experience and a pleasant environment of Nissan’s patrons. It received high marks on customer satisfaction, resources and location relative to customers.
Prior to its inauguration, the dealership is already in operation. In fact, Tee Ten proudly said, “We were able to achieve our target of selling 60 vehicles per month even before we formally opened.”
He said his group is very aggressive with Nissan, as the brand showed fantastic growth in the last few years and, despite the general slowdown in the industry this year, Nissan is one of the few brands that are growing. He said, “The dealership was two years in the making and we’re lucky that we have chosen Nissan as the brand to expand with.”
Present during the inauguration were officials of Nissan Motors Philippines Inc., led by its President Ramesh Narasimhan, local officials and a representative from the office of Rizal Gov. Rebecca A. Ynares.
