Leadership lessons we learned from our moms
LONG before we came into contact with managers, board members and company presidents, we had our mothers. Strong, beautiful, complex (and sometimes crazy) women, they were the cofounders of the family—or sometimes, as in our family’s case, the sole proprietor—and in many cases serve as COO and CFO while also managing Human Resources, Learning and Development, Procurement, Internal Audit and many other roles that we had no idea existed until we saw them do it.
