BEEFING up its presence in south of Metro Manila while ensuring quality customer experience, Republic of Gamers (ROG), an Asus sub-brand for gaming hardware and software, opened a new store at the SM Cyberzone, SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
“With the launch of the South District of the Republic in SM Mall of Asia, we aim to solidify our stance as the No. 1 gaming brand in the country. We open the first ROG concept store in the country that adapts an open-floor layout,” said George Su, country manager of Asus Philippines Systems Group.
He said this is the first store outside Taiwan that will embrace an experiential floor plan, similar to ROG premium store in Syntrend Electronics Mall in Taipei.
Also, it provides current and prospective ROG end-users with an improved experience in trying out the latest devices to help with their decision to join the Republic, he added.
Gaming machines, such as ROG Strix GL504 Hero and SCAR Edition laptops, as well as ROG Huracan G21 desktop, are available in this latest concept store.
Top executives of Asus Philippines and partner dealer and distributors, DoTA 2 Shoutcaster Nico Nazario, and leading local female streamer and ROG Ambassador Ann B. Mateo graced the event.
End-users got a chance to play with their e-sports and gaming idols in a head-on battle between Team Hero and Team SCAR spearheaded respectively by the gaming personalities.
In 2016 ROG began strengthening its districts by opening the pioneering concept store in the country—Capital of the Republic in SM Megamall. This was followed by the North District in SM North Edsa in the same year.
ROG has continued to expand its footprint, expanding its market to the Visayas region by opening its third district in SM City Cebu in 2017. “With these districts of the Republic, Asus ROG has dominated as the No. 1 gaming brand in the country. In fact, we are happy to share that we are still the No. 1 gaming brand today, with a 53-percent market share based on market data as of June 2018,” Su said.
“However, our efforts don’t stop there. As we aim to expand our market share in the country, members of the Republic can also expect to get the same experience when they visit present and upcoming ROG districts near them,” he said.
