Lifestyle destination Shangri-La Plaza Mall is inviting all brides- and grooms-to-be to its very first bridal fair, dubbed “Getting Ready…The Wedding Project.”
Happening at The Atrium, Level 2, of Shangri-La Plaza’s main wing from July 22 to 24, it is a showcase of wedding products and services, with a series of workshops, talks and demos thrown in, all designed to help every couple-to-be plan the wedding they always dreamed of.
From finding top-tier wedding suppliers to introducing seasoned wedding specialists, Shangri-La launched the event earlier this month as a thank-you for customers who have patronized the commercial hub throughout its 25 years.
Featured in the fair are industry experts like Mia Urquico of Say Yes to the Dress, who led a fashion talk on how to choose the right dress for one’s body type.
Also included in the list of activities for the first weekend of the bridal fair were a calligraphy and arts workshop by Iris Babao Uy, and a food-and-wine pairing capsule class by Wine Story. Shangri-La also enlisted the help of Master Hanz Cua to lead a talk about auspicious dates and wedding traditions.
For the weekend of July 22, a table setting and styling demo under the guidance of Indy Ycasiano will take place at 3:30 pm, followed by a botanical watercolor demo for DIY invitations by Joannie Candi. A workshop on calligraphy envelope addressing to be led by Richelle Macapagal happens on the following day, July 23, along with another Couture Talks: Dressing for Your Body Type lesson from Urquico. The Ateneo Chamber Singers and Manila Philharmonic Orchestra Quartet will top off the weekend celebration with exquisite wedding playlists.
Elegant couture dresses from Mico Boutique and timeless pieces from Diamantaire, Golcondia, My Diamond and Stardust will also be showcased in the fair. La Senza, Marks & Spencer, Me & U Gift Shop and Rustan’s Department Store are also present to help shoppers find the perfect bridal shower and wedding gift, while Headzone offers beauty and relaxation services. For reception and honeymoon venues, Shangri-La invites guests to take a look at their very own Edsa Shangri-La Manila, Makati Shangri-La, Shangri-La at the Fort, Shangri-La Boracay Resort & Spa, and Shangri-La Mactan Resort & Spa.
To complete the prefect wedding, the bridal fair also included in its lineup of exhibitors eye-catching wedding cakes from Wicked and stellar wines from Planet Grapes, Wine Story and Titania Wine Cellar. For memorable keepsakes, there are Tie Me Up Buttercup, Villa del Conte and Vom Fass.
Trusted brands and industry legends like Beyond Stitched, Bob Nicolas Wedding Films, Cactus and Canvas, Cakes by Mannix, Chestknots Studio, Cut The Scrap, Events by Dave Sandoval, Events by Jo Claravall, La Belle Fete Weddings & Events, MG Cars, Grace Home, Paper Thread Studio, Patrick Uy Photography, Print & Co., Printsonalities, Something Personal PH, Wynne’s Cakes and Pastries are also present in the fair.
