Once you’ve colored, bleached, heat-styled and/or permed your hair, you have reached the point of no return. Your hair will never go back to its original state—ever. I used to have hair so straight that it couldn’t hold a barrette or a scrunchie. Now, it alternates between curly, frizzy and just plain unruly. My hair seriously seems to have a life of its own, so I rely mostly on expensive conditioners and a straightening iron. And it may seem gross to a lot of people but not washing my hair every day is what still keeps it healthy after everything I’ve done to it.
Thus, I’m always on the lookout for any product that might help the situation but also always skeptical about bold claims because I usually end up disappointed except for one or two brands, including Aveda (which I really love). Many of us have abused our hair and scalp so much that we need the best products available in the market. I have reached the conclusion that it’s possible to scrimp on shampoo, meaning you can buy the less expensive ones, but not on conditioner.
Dove 1-Minute Serum Conditioner is the brand’s most potent formulation yet. The brand claims the conditioner combines the transformative power of serum capsules with its best damage technology, Keratin Repair Actives, to undo a year’s worth of hair damage in just one minute.
“The truth is that women don’t have minutes to spare for conditioning their hair. These days, they want something fast that delivers good results. They want a premium conditioner that they can afford, one that isn’t priced out of their range,” said Ann Esteves, Unilever Philippines marketing director for hair.
“Dove 1-Minute Serum Conditioner offers repaired, recovered and more resilient hair in 60 seconds,” said Nicole Ty, Dove hair assistant brand manager.
The serum capsules in the new conditioner contain nourishing oils, such as Argan Oil, Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil and Vitamin E.
The effects of these oils are further enhanced by Dove’s damage repair technology, Keratin Repair Actives, which replaces broken bonds in hair to further strengthen and fortify weak and damaged hair.
“It goes deep and is able to penetrate 10 layers into the hair in just one minute,” said Esteves.
I’ve already used the Nourishing Oil Care variant of Dove 1-Minute Serum Conditioner three times and the results have been quite good. In fact, the results have exceeded my modest expectations.
The Dove 1-Minute Serum Conditioner is available in three variants: Intense Repair, Hair Fall Rescue and Nourishing Oil Care; and is available in all leading supermarkets, department stores and drugstores nationwide, plus from online retailers.
