The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has set up welfare desks to help the victims of the bombing attack inisde the Mindanao State University gymnasium in Marawi City during a Catholic mass service last Sunday morning.
PRC Chairman and CEO Richard Gordon said that they condole with the nation and the families of the four killed in the Marawi bombing.
“Rest assured that despite this difficult and challenging situation, PRC staff and volunteers will remain on the ground and continue to actively support the victims and their families,” Gordon said.
The PRC also provided eight units of blood to a victim who had to undergo surgery yesterday but we continue to preposition blood to help those in need.
“We also have health caravans while our other volunteers and staff visit dormitories on the campus to assist students with their hygiene needs and hot meals,” Gordon added.
Gordon also commended the quick action of our volunteers and staff composed of Sheila S. Compuesto, Joshua Aaron Hubahib, Remia Salon, Emily Orbon, Michael Orbita, Shrine Salvador and Marry Duffy Almona.
