“Always By My Side” is the lead single from Matthew Mole’s 4th and long-awaited new studio album entitled “Wake Up, It’s Morning.”
The track was co-written and co-produced by Ross Hamilton, known for his work with artists such as Ella Eyre, Nathan Evans, and Saint Phnx, making it Mole’s first step into international songwriting and production collaboration.

As an award-winning musician with an ever-active agenda, the single release is combined with not only the full album drop but also a jam-packed touring schedule that includes South Africa and a large portion of Europe, where the Matthew Mole fandom is fast-swelling.
Coming in hot off the back of hits such as “I’m With You,” “Goodbye” and “See Me Again,” “Always By My Side” stays true to the uplifting spirit of the songwriter, using adversity and inner bales as a jumping-off point into a far more positive space, and ultimately pulling his fans up with him.
About the song, Matthew states, “The song is about the battle in my mind of facing difficulty and knowing that I will make it through and be okay. Things can seem impossible and unhopeful and my thoughts can take me into a discouraging place, keeping me up at night. But there is this miraculous grace that comes with every new day that gives me the strength the fight and see that there is hope.”
Hearing his fans sing along to his songs is what keeps Matthew in his happy place – and only with an honest connection can the magic truly happen, which is why he has been so close to his ever-expanding fan base since the beginning of his career. Being honest and real whilst forging lyrical connections is one of the highlights of his musical journey and with singles such as “Always By My Side,” Matthew hopes to remain a light in the day-to-day of his listener’s lives.
The track is a cheerful, festival-friendly taster from what is aiming to be Matthew Mole’s most unsurpassed album to date.
