With the pandemic restrictions around the world being lifted, everyone is making up for lost time that could have been spent traveling.
People are out and about whether travelling locally or internationally; for leisure or business; with family, friends, or solo after being cooped up in homes for so long. This is called “revenge travel” and is seen to surge further.
One must have a checklist before jetting off: personal documents, accommodations, itinerary, and the top priority: packed suitcases and a carry-on to travel with ease.
Thinking about what to bring for your trip is already a mentally draining activity, while packing is a tedious task that requires skills in order to fit everything in your luggage.

With TUMI’s Fall 2023 collection, traveling with ease comes with elegance.
The maker of business, travel, and performance luxury essentials launched its recent collection embracing the mindset of “hypercraft” to design products that will exceed beyond in terms of styles, durability, versatility, and performance by meticulously converging past knowledge and modern techniques.
By adapting Hypercraft, defined as giving closer attention to care, skill, and ingenuity, as well as their appreciation for nature and natural materials, TUMI’s products resulted in balance: technically advanced but with a hand-crafted look to redefine performance luxury and timelessness.
“Everybody’s out, everybody’s jetting off, but that is why we’re here: our love for travel…love for traveling with peace of mind, with ease of mobility, and of course, technical innovation right at your fingertips,” said Frances De Guzman of TUMI Philippines during the intimate luncheon last September 7 in Blackbird at the Nielson Tower.
The 19 Degree pieces include expertly designed wheeled briefs, carry-ons, and extended trip packing cases and feature a handy zipper expansion and effortless motion to accompany every aspect of a modern traveler’s life. The luggage shells are made from post-industrial recycled polycarbonate and the lining is made from post consumer rPET (recycled plastic bottles).
The 19 Degree Aluminum features a new seasonal colorway of Dark Denim, while new colors and textures in the collection include: Slate Blue Texture, Blush/Navy Liquid Print, Hunter Green, Deep Plum, and Red for a subtler, sleek style.
TUMI has also expanded its offering for women who love to travel with elegant ease and minimalist style. The new Georgica collection showcases the Valorie Tote, Milinia Laptop Sleeve, Marylea Crossbody, and Fairlea Backpack in natural grain pebbled or smooth leather making it gracefully lightweight.
The bags have a soft unlined structure giving them sophisticated drapings, while all colorways including Black, Taupe, Deep Plum, Terracotta, and Black Liquid Embroidery feature touches of gunmetal hardware. Liquid Embroidery is also debuting on select Georgica pieces this season.
The new Voyageur styles for fall highlight the versatility and functionality of the Moore Backpack/Crossbody, Shira Tote, and Just In Case® Duffel. The Zip-Around Small Organizer is also the latest addition to the TUMI+ ecosystem to fit inside and bring additional organization to smaller silhouettes.
The last collection in Fall 2023 is the launch of Alpha X, which features a high-performance, premium version of the Alpha collection. Made from TUMI’s most durable fabric PX6 and a unique combination of high strength, high modulus, toughness, and thermal stability, it is specifically crafted for the ultimate traveler.
Available styles in Alpha X include the International Dual Access 4-Wheeled Carry-On, Slim Backpack, and Compact Sling.
“At TUMI we find beauty in elements that aren’t typically thought of as beautiful, from the smooth glide of the wheels to the resilience of 19 Degree’s aluminum,” said Victor Sanz, TUMI’s Creative Director. “Through the ‘Essentially Beautiful’ campaign we see these moments shine through in a way that is effortless and technical while remaining beautiful at the same time.”
