Atayde donates smartphones to QCPD to help sustain quick resolution of crimes

QUEZON CITY first district Congressman Juan Carlos “Arjo” Atayde wants the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) to sustain its impressive drive of protecting the people and fighting any criminal activities around the area very quickly.

Atayde praised the city’s finest policemen during a speech after donating smartphones to the QCPD over the weekend at Camp Karingal in Quezon City for actively doing their job all over the area which already resulted in resolving several crimes.

“Our policemen in QCPD are doing a great job, 24/7 day and night basis, and they are risking their lives every time they are in the line of duty,” Atayde, 32, said. “In our own little way, we are here to provide them with some smartphones to help them to fast track everything.”

Atayde donated ten newly-updated smartphones to the QCPD headed by Director Brig. General Nicolas Torre III during the Saturday visit, adding those gadgets would be used during police operations, surveillance, and other matters.

The largest city in the Philippines, according to Atayde, needs the services and protection of the police, particularly in areas such as Cubao, Diliman, La Loma, Novaliches, New Manila, Santa Mesa Heights, and San Francisco del Monte.

Torre III and the rest of the QCPD expressed gratitude to Rep. Atayde for the appreciation, saying that the donated smartphones will be utilized by drone operators to monitor the entire city with the clear transmission of footage through their command center.

Atayde, the veteran young actor, is also impressed with Torre’s QCPD swift action against any crimes — where the people of QC will just dial 122 for the quick less than five minutes response of the police at any given time and place.

“The dedication of our police force is very important and we are hoping they continue the same drive and passion in serving our people,” Atayde added. “Their cooperation in every barangay really means a lot in promoting peace and crime prevention. We are very thankful.”
