National Artist Federico Aguilar Alcuaz’s best works will now be available in the digital realm through its partnership with Artifract.io, a platform that democratizes Fine Arts ownership by fractionalizing them as non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Nicco Teotico signed a partnership agreement with Artifract on behalf of the then unavailable Christian M. Aguilar (representative of the late Federico Aguilar Alcuaz) at a signing ceremony last October 2022 at Kondwi, Makati. The Artifract heads, Web3 KOLs, leaders, stakeholders, Web3 enthusiast celebrities, Miss Universe 2022 1st runner-up Michelle Dee and actor Marco Gumabao attended the event.
Federico Aguilar Alcuaz was conferred the National Artist Award for the Visual Arts in 2009. He is well-known for his gestural pieces and the movement in his works that span from watercolor to sculptures and even textiles.
