United States Ambassador MaryKay Carlson (standing, from left), Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez and Energy Undersecretary Felix William Fuentebella witnessed on August 6 the signing ceremony of the American government’s grant to Aboitiz Renewables Inc. for a feasibility study on a wind-energy project. The pact, signed by US Trade and Development Agency Director Enoh Ebong (seated, from left) and ARI Vice President for Commercial Strategy, Sales and Engagement David Aboitiz, will help identify potential project sites, as well as provide technical and economic analysis. The project is earmarked to deploy up to 3 gigawatts of offshore wind-turbine generation projects, which will power more than 2 million homes and meet their growing energy demands. PNA/RICO H. BORJA
