CONVERGE relieved Jeffrey Cariaso as FiberXers head coach for the upcoming Commissioner’s Cup set to open in September.
Cariaso posted on Instagram on Tuesday that he accepted Converge management’s decision to replace him after he steered the FiberXers into the quarterfinals of the Philippine Cup where they lost to TNT Tropang Giga.
“It is with utmost respect that I accept the decision of the Converge management to relieve me as the head coach of the FiberXers,” Cariaso said in his post.
Converge team manager Richard ”Dickie” Bachmann is also believed to be on the way out as indications show former collegiate champion coach Aldin Ayo was picked to replace Cariaso.
Ayo recently resigned as head coach and trainer of the Chooks-To-Go 3×3 program citing family reasons.
BusinessMirror learned the development after the team’s last practice on Tuesday with Cariaso.
Converge team governor Chito Salud confirmed the developments in the team.
