The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Thursday welcomed Carlo Dimayuga III as its new acting chairman after President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. signed his appointment on Monday.
President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. signed Dimayuga’s appointment on August 1. He took his oath of office before Executive Secretary Victor Rodriguez on Wednesday, August 3.
“The MMDA welcomes Engr. Dimayuga as its new Acting Chairman. The agency believes that with his instinctive understanding of operations and managerial perspective, he can steer MMDA towards delivering better basic services to the public,” said MMDA Flood Control and Sewerage Management Office Director Baltazar Melgar, who served as the agency’s Officer-in-Charge since July.
Dimayuga passed the Civil Engineer Licensure Examination in 1997 after studying Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Sto. Tomas.
He finished both his secondary and primary education at Lourdes School Quezon City on 1987 and 1991.
Dimayuga replaced Attorney Romando Artes who was appointed by then President Rodrigo Duterte last March.
