The Congress, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC), has already processed 105 certificates of canvass (COC) for president and vice president.
The NBOC has suspended its canvassing at 11:02 pm, Tuesday, and will resume at 9am on Wednesday.
As of 11:02 pm, Tuesday, the NBOC already canvassed 105 out of 173 COCs from different cities and provinces in the country and votes from Philippine posts in other countries.
Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. leads all presidential candidates with 24,052,854 votes, while Mayor Sara Duterte leads the VP race with 24,171,445 votes.
Senate Majority Leader Migz Zubiri and House Majority Leader Martin Romualdez said the no objection manifestations of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan camps hastened the vote canvassing process.
However, the NBOC deferred the canvassing of votes for president and vice president in Pampanga and Sultan Kudarat due to missing COCs. The NBOC has directed provincial election supervisors in the said provinces to explain.
The NBOC is eyeing to formally proclaim the duly-elected president and vice-president of the Philippines by Wednesday afternoon.
Once the canvassing is completed, the joint committee report shall be approved and signed by a majority of the members of the Joint Committee.

After which, the report shall be submitted to the joint public session for consideration and approval. A majority of senators and House members, voting separately, shall approve the report and adopt the resolution of both chambers proclaiming the duly elected President and Vice President.
