OVER 90 percent of the Certificate of Canvass (COC) from the 2022 polls have finally been processed by the Commission on Elections sitting as the National Board of Canvassers.
On Sunday, the NBOC canvassed the COCs of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), Amman (Jordan), Islamabad (Pakistan), Vientiane (Laos), Budapest (Hungary), Santiago (Chile), Warsaw (Poland), Damascus (Syria), and Pretoria (South Africa).
Acting Comelec spokesman John Rex C. Laudiangco said this brings to 159 the total number of processed COCs during the sixth day of canvassing at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.
He said NBOC is still waiting for 11 Manual Overseas COCs, 2 Electronic Overseas COCs, and one Manual COC and 1 Manual COC for 63 barangays of North Cotabato.
With only a few unprocessed COCs left, the NBOC is now eyeing to proclaim all the winning senators and some of the party-list groups with the highest votes by Tuesday, which will be the eight day of its canvassing.
“We are on track with our timeline. That is our projection of having the proclamation early next week and Tuesday still fall within that period,” Laudiangco said.
