Gary V, Kitchie Nadal lead all performers in ‘Earthday Jam 2022’

On April 22, 2022, Earthday Jam Foundation will be presenting  EARTHDAY JAM 2022 in commemoration of the worldwide International Earth Day celebration along with 193 other countries. It is the longest-running, biggest, music tribute to the international Earthday in the history of the world marking its 22nd year in its mission to create greater awareness of environmental preservation using the powerful tool of music and entertainment. To make it safe and get all people from all over the world to witness it– EARTHDAY JAM 2022 will be streamed LIVE  in  Earthday Jam YouTube Channel starting at 8:30 PM ON APRIL 22,2022.

What makes this year different is that it will bring together OPM artists in one place to play and jam to indicate our awareness and reach out to more audiences. Live performances from OPM’s best. Headlining and performing for the first time is Mr. Pure Energy Mr.Gary V. and Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez. Also featured are Gaia awardees  Noel Cabangon, Reggae band guru Brownman Revival, OPM princess Kitchie Nadal (singing all the way from Madrid, Spain) with the all-girl band Rouge, versatile singer Nyoy Volante and our very own pop-rock icon Lou Bonnevie with her band and her guest rap artist from L.A. Awday.  She will be singing a rock satirical song dubbed “People Don’t Care” in keeping with the times.

The year’s theme is “INVEST IN OUR PLANET” and various youth leaders will be supporting to share messages on various actions ordinary people can take based on the theme.

We will also be launching the first-ever nationwide short video/film competition on climate change dubbed “Sining-Likhasan” in cooperation with the Climate Change Service of the Department of Environment and Natural resources (DENR). This will be a 2-7 minuter narrative, art performance, or documentary form in cellphone and professional device categories. It will be judged by renowned filmmakers headed by Venice Festival award-winning director Erik Matti.
