Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that National Capital Region (NCR), Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and the rest of Luzon regions of the country showed the highest coverage of fully vaccinated and boosted individuals.
“NCR, CAR, and Luzon regions showed highest coverage of fully vaccinated and boosted individuals,” Vergeire said in a media forum.
While this is a welcome development, Vergeire assured that the DOH will continuously make vaccines easily accessible and available for everyone in order ” to help strengthen the community’s protection against the virus.”
Meanwhile, Vergeire said that as of April 11, 2022, more than 66.7 million are already fully-vaccinated against Covid-19, while 71.9 million received their initial dose.
“We have already more than 1.3 million children fully-vaccinated along with the 9 million fully-inoculated adolescents,” Vergeire said.
For the remaining 47.8 million not boosted individuals, Vergeire encouraged them to join the over 12.5 million vaccinated population.
