Also present were Hon. DAVID “Jayjay” SUAREZ Congressman of the 2nd District, Province of Quezon, who served as guest of Honor and Speaker, Local and Barangay Officials, Teachers from Bignay 2 Elementary School and residents of Brgy, Bignay 2.
The marker was built to commemorate the exemplary performances and accomplishments amassed by the Club for the Rotary Year 2021-2022. It will also serve as a token of unrelenting support of the Club to the Annual Outreach Program to the indigent residents of Barangay Bignay 2, Sariaya, Quezon. Likewise, the project was conceptualized to promote the Rotary International Logo taking into account the thousands of motorists traversing the newly constructed National Hi-way known as the “Eco-Tourism Road” going to and from Manila, Northern part of Luzon and Bicol Region up to the Southern Regions of the Philippines.
The strategic location of the Wheel Marker would invite passersby, motorists, local residents, visitors and tourists to take souvenir pictures in the site that can be posted in all social media platforms which may further amplify and promote the image of Rotary International in the whole world. This development may likewise pave the way for the continued upgrading of the classification of the property along that area, and may encourage more investors to come in, which could significantly contribute to the economic enhancement along that part of the province.
The architectural design, highlighted by the color combination, added to the astounding feature of the marker. It was fabricated by Metallfit, Inc. and Exelon Power Solutions, Inc., a private designer and construction company which specialize in steel sheet cabinets and power generation manufacturing. The construction materials used were casted in metal with heavy duty steel from foundations to structures and frames. It then passed thru a hot dip galvanized coating process for corrosion and weather resistance and top coat finished with primer and anzal paint. The marker is with highway grade reflectorized sticker on top of the anzal paint.
The project became a reality because of the significant contributions of the following people: PP Eduardo Cabral, who made the design and developed the site plan; IPP Cesar J. Pangan, who was instrumental in obtaining permission to the land owner of the property; all other Officers and Members of the RC of San Juan Neopolitan, for their generosity; with special mention to Zone-7 Senior Assistant Governor Mari Claire dela Rosa and Mr. Lawrence Harvey Tiu, Managing Director of Metallfit, Inc. and Exelon Power Solutions, Inc., as primary sponsors; and to spouses Ricardo and Adoracion Greta and family, who donated the property where the marker is constructed.
