Basil and Jamie bring Love and Light to Resorts World Manila this April

OPM Legend Basil Valdez and the Inspirational Diva Jamie Rivera team up for a night of uplifting music to the country’s pioneer lifestyle and entertainment destination, Resorts World Manila (RWM). The one-night only affair, aptly dubbed ‘Love and Light’, will delight the live audience of the ultra-modern Newport Performing Arts Theater on April 30, 2022, at 8pm.

The award-winning Filipino balladeer Basil Valdez started his career in the 70s when he released his first solo album entitled “Ngayon at Kailanman.” Valdez re-invented himself as a singer of movie theme songs in the 80s, and has etched his mark in the industry with hits “Ngayon at Kailanman,” “Hanggang sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan,”  “Paano Ba ang Mangarap,” and “Muling Buksan Ang Puso” among others.

Meanwhile, pop singer Jamie Rivera, known for her string of meaningful song hits, including “Tell The World of His Love” and “We Are All God’s Children,” as well as some touching love songs like “Hey, It’s Me,” “Awit Para Sa’Yo, ”and “I’ve Fallen For You,” has also made a name for herself internationally when she played the role of Kim in the musical Miss Saigon in London, England in 1992.

Produced by Full House Theater Company in cooperation with NY Entourage Productions, the show is set to serenade the crowd with the OPM icons’ timeless hits and inspirational anthems, under the musical direction of Adonis Tabanda and directed by Frank Mamaril.
