CHAN MILLANES – “After You”
The 18-year-old singer and songwriter Chan Millanes who hails from the Davao City has undoubtedly a great mind for storytelling. He says, “My singles are written by two’s. “After You” is the second chapter closer following “Tuldok” about a falling out of friendship, “Binata” with a coming-of-age theme and his third single, “Magical” about defining an enchanted experience during very delicate and uncertain times.
His latest single talks about a lover who “loves so good that you wouldn’t know who or how to love after them.” Chan added, “I observe and see deeply, so every time I have a new song to release, I want to make sure it takes the previous song to the next level and “After You” feels like a slow dance with your soulmate.”
DEUCES – “Lovin’ Tonight”
After their first quarantine song “Kinabukasan”, Edu Fernandez and Andoy Yupangco, the dynamic duo of Deuces have released their latest single, “Lovin’ Tonight” about finding someone to go around the city with and escaping reality at least for a night. LOLA AMOUR X AL JAMES – “Madali”
Lola Amour is a hobby gone wild. Made up of 8 people who met in high school, the band has grown into one of the more established artists in the country’s indie music scene, having headlined some of the country’s biggest shows and headlining Coke Studio PH Season 3 on national television.
Their latest single works on the theme, “Kailangan bang magmadali?” As the whole world seems to have slowed down these days and developed a painfully mundane daily routine, “Madali” is about taking your time. It reminds everyone to take a breath, enjoy the ride, and to not let the pressure of your goals get to you. Yes, remember, it’s really not a race. Not even a contest. “Agad-agad ka rin naman makakarating.”

ALOURA – “Dream”
Aloura’s first release in 2022 is an electronic, synth-pop track about meeting someone so perfect which makes the encounter so unreal. “Dream” talks about falling in love with your ideal person that it feels like you’re in a dream.
In the song, the dream is both a fantasy you get when you sleep and as a cherished ideal person. It expands Aloura’s on creative and figurative lyricism buoyed by a nostalgic new sound the artist been exploring recently. Almost connected to her previous release, ‘Through the Screen’, this song also uses vibrant synths, pads and a lot of vocal layers.
