Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) continues to set the standard for the bank marketing industry as it wins big in the recently concluded 4th Bank Marketing Awards.
RCBC’s DiskarTech financial inclusion app was named as the Best Financial Inclusion Program, besting several competitors in the category. RCBC also bagged the award for the Best COVID Response Initiative, utilizing the DiskarTech App. The said category is one of the two new categories included in this year’s program.
RCBC’s Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer Lito Villanueva underscored how DiskarTech has helped its customers from across all segments in all 81 provinces in the country get onboarded into the formal financial system and ride the digital wave even amid the pandemic.
“Nothing is more exciting when innovation meets purpose. This is why we in RCBC continue to work in making inclusive digital finance possible and accessible to every Filipino, echoing our DiskarTech mantra, #HalosLahatPwede. This is precisely what the DiskarTech narrative is all about,” said Villanueva.
DiskarTech is the first and only financial inclusion app that uses Filipino-English vernacular or Taglish and Cebuano languages in its interface, removing the language barrier and empowering its users to maximize the app’s features. It was launched at the height of the pandemic and continues to help the government provide economic aid to Filipinos at a time when access to digital finance is considered a lifeline.
RCBC also won in several other categories, including Best Customer-centric Product or Service for RCBC Hexagon Club, the other new category for this year’s line-up, Best Product Program for RCBC One Account, and Best Program in Social Media for RCBC Christmas In Your Card—taking home five of the seven awards.
“We are truly grateful for making us part of this journey. We know BMAP has been an advocate of ensuring our local banking industry is kept exciting and dynamic and also relevant to as many banking customers as possible,” said Richard Lim, RCBC Retail Banking Group Head.
The 4th Bank Marketing Awards was organized by the Bank Marketing Association of the Philippines (BMAP), established in 1974 and composed of members from 46 prestigious banking institutions. The award aims to honor bank marketers who play a vital role in keeping the industry responsive to the needs of its customers.
“At the end of the day, more than an award for the best of the best in Philippine bank marketing, it is all about serving our customers and putting their needs and concerns as a primordial component as we seek to develop and deliver financial services,” said BMAP President Mike Villa-real.
