ACADEMIC platform Edukasyon.ph recently introduced new offerings supportive of the Filipino youth’s self-discovery and career development.
The portal’s homepage is now more user-friendly, with some changes, like thousands of free tests that students can take, and the soon-to-be-launched key assessments on the course they should study, or the curriculum they could pursue.
Another feature in the revamped platform is “Explore My Options,” where learners can search for schools, tracks, strong courses, and career pathways, among others, that they can make in high school and college—all for free.
“What we’re adding is a premium service where [a student] can talk to guidance counselors privately and safely…” Edukasyon.ph Founder Henry Motte-Muñoz said. “That’s through…premium guidance-counseling sessions with…career-app kits over the next few weeks. Then, free on the web site is about upskilling… [There’s] a lot of free courses that we developed: from civic education to homework organization, et cetera.”
According to Motte-Muñoz, the platform will also offer premium online courses, and additional academic support for students in a couple of months.
The homepage redesign has been a hit with Edukasyon.ph users, increasing engagement and helping expand its registered user base to more than double—totaling to over 800,000 students to date.
Recently the learning web site launched its second Future Fest campaign, which focuses on the careers students can take under the science, technology, engineering and mathematics strand, or STEM.
“The way we look at STEM is, we have…thousands of students every year looking for options on our web site,” the Edukasyon.ph official stated. “The reason we created events like Future Fest is…for…the ‘hardcore’ [who] are really passionate about it. It’s part of our efforts to…engage with our community—not just [having generic, high-level…or…generalist content, but really the deep-dive kind].”
Edukasyon.ph has tied up with experts such as Harrison Assessments and Career Development Association of the Philippines to assist in the design of programs, and develop them together with young team members.
“This…will help achieve our commitment of allowing 2 million Filipino youth to have…successful and fulfilling [careers] by 2025,” Motte-Muñoz said.
The academic portal has also partnered with Globe Telecom, Asus Philippines and Cream Silk, to name a few. These brands helped achieve its mission of supporting the Filipino youth in their academics and careers.
Edukasyon.ph focused on career readiness and upskilling with Cream Silk’s #ConditionedForGreaterAcademy, information-technology modernization with Asus’ “Edukasyon School Partner” program, as well as the promotion of education and literacy with Globe’s “GoLearn.”
With other industry leaders, Edukasyon.ph “envisions a society of Filipino learners who are ready and well-equipped not just in their education, but also in their careers thereafter,” CEO Grace David pointed out.
