Three months after Sunlight Air vowed to support the tourism, hospitality and fishing industry in San Vicente, Palawan, Sunlight Air finally launched its regular flights and all-inclusive travel bubble packages in partnership with San Vicente LGU, Asia Pacific Travel and various hotels and resorts in the municipality.
Although known for having the longest beach in the Philippines, San Vicente, Palawan is still an uncharted gem in the region, often overshadowed by the more famous destinations such as El Nido, Coron, and Puerto Princesa. The destination comes comparable to its touristy neighbors with its island-hopping spots, beaches, and marine gardens but with a more peaceful and uniquely charming atmosphere. Its waves also pose as Palawan’s new surfing capital and have been holding surfing competitions since 2020 at the Alimanguan Beach. Even Port Barton, which is often confused as a separate destination from the municipality and the go-to of off-grid adventure-goers, is also part of San Vicente. There are lots more to experience on the island, and Sunlight Air recognizes its potential for a tourism boom in the near future.
With Sunlight Air’s main goal of connecting Filipinos to the wonders of the Philippines, it has partnered with the LGU of San Vicente, various hotels and resorts, and official travel partner, Asia Pacific Travel, to create a travel bubble package to further promote the beauty of the destination and make it more accessible to tourists. On October 28, 2021, the airline launched its all-inclusive packages featuring local resorts from budget-friendly to luxury service accommodations that cater to every travelers’ needs, such as Club Agutaya, Lazuli Resort, and Bai Bai Beach Resort. Packages include roundtrip shared chartered flights, 5D4N or 4D3N accommodation with daily breakfast, roundtrip land transfers from the airport, and private use of Sunlight Air’s exclusive lounge in Manila with package rates starting at P18,430 for 5D4N.
Last July 15, 2021, it launched its cargo and passenger flights on the municipality. Sunlight Air aims to help not only the local economy and tourism of San Vicente, but also for the destination to earn its title as one of Palawan’s next big tourist spots. The airline and its travel agency also eyes on expanding its hotels and resorts partnerships when a surge in demand for packages happens. Meanwhile, Sunlight Air’s main service offers to the municipality are cargo flights, passenger flights, and holiday packages.
