FINANCIAL technology (fintech) player PayMaya claimed on Monday it now has “the most extensive network offered by an e-wallet in the Philippines” today, as it expands its channels to over 90,000 touchpoints nationwide.
In a statement, PayMaya President Shailesh Baidwan said the move to further add more touchpoints throughout the country helps in “lowering barriers to digital payments adoption and usage.”
Adding to PayMaya’s network of cash-in touchpoints are top supermarkets and leading establishments, including 7-Eleven, Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Department Store, SM Hypermarket, SM Supermarket, The SM Store, Landers, Super8, Southstar Drug, Bayad Center, Easymart, EC Pay, LBC Express, No Brand, Palawan Pawnshop, Posible, RD Pawnshop, Savemore, Shopwise, The Marketplace, among others.
Over 55,000 of its touchpoints, representing 60 percent of the total, offer free cash-in services to PayMaya users, including Ministop, BPI, and Smart Padala.
“We are breaking the barriers to digital payments adoption and usage by offering the most extensive cash in channels. With this unparalleled network plus our free cash in offer, we are making it easier for Filipinos to embrace digital payments,” Baidwan said.
He added that users may also cash in to their PayMaya accounts via Instapay.
Currently, PayMaya has over 38 million registered users in its platform, which grants them access to e-wallet services, an in-app mall, and other digital financial services.
