The local government unit of Pasay City and its attached agencies bestowed the entire Resorts World Manila (RWM) complex with the coveted Safety Seal on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. The ceremonial awarding ceremony comes after 100% of business establishments within the entire integrated resort complex have been certified compliant with the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases’s (IATF) stringent health guidelines and policies against the spread of the COVID-19 disease.

Present during the awarding was Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano. During her short speech, she reiterated the importance of these Safety Seals in building consumer confidence in businesses during these uncertain times.

RWM Chief Operating Officer, Stephen Reilly, also spoke about RWM’s commitment to providing a safer space, not only for guests and patrons but also for business partners and employees alike. He shared that RWM has once again opened its doors and is more ready than ever to welcome guests back and return the glory of Pasay City back as the nation’s travel city.

The Safety Seal program is a joint undertaking of the DTI, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Department of Health (DOH) under the Joint Memorandum Circular 21-01, series of 2021. The program is a collaborative effort between the government’s public-private sectors to safely reopen the economy.

The significant certification also came at the most opportune time since RWM recently opened multiple UNABAKUNA Vaccination Hubs in partnership with the local government unit of Pasay City, the Department of Health, and the Department of Information and Communications.

To further support the national government’s vaccination drive, RWM also provides special perks to guests who have received at least their first dose of vaccine with the Good Jab Rewards program. By presenting their vaccination cards, customers can get up to 50% off on dining, hotels, and more.
