The future of disease detection will soon be in your hands. Or in the device that you hold most: your smart phones.
Fortem Genus Labs, a US-based Management Consulting company, in collaboration with University of North Carolina at Pembroke is now on Phase 3 of its clinical trials in detecting Covid 19 using cloud connected hand-held smart phones. Tablets and laptops can also be used.
The iDetect solution involves scanning images of the eye then uploaded to an AI-powered imaging analysis and returns the results within seconds. It is non-invasive, fast, reliable and cost effective.
According to Systems Architect Fredrick Lewis, iDetect started as a laboratory experiment capable of detecting diabetic retinopathy through AI-powered eye scans with 93% accuracy. This same technology has evolved during clinical trials to detecting Covid 19 with an accuracy of 90+%. AI-powered imaging analysis has proven to be as good or better than medical laboratory specialists at detecting a range of diseases. With its iDetect patent-pending, artificially intelligent disease detection technology, FG Labs has brought us to the verge of the futuristic Star Trek tricorder.
“This is a game changer in our fight against Covid 19” said FG Labs Country Manager Johnny Z. Perlas. “Early detection will be the key to preventing the spread of the disease. iDetect technology enables people to test themselves right at the comfort of their homes or before going to high traffic spaces” he added.
In coordination with the DOH, iDetect will soon undergo trials in the Philippines.
