Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) bagged another Quill award for a digital campaign that leveraged on its digital platform as way of moving forward amidst the pandemic.
The Philippine Quill is one of the most distinguished awards programs in the field of business communication that recognizes the country’s most reputable organizations who make use of excellent communications to achieve business goals, and to make a difference in society.
In partnership with Entropia CBR, the campaign ‘Every Step of the Way: How RCBC used digital to help clients move forward in the face of the pandemic’, brought to light the urgency of changing old habits given the pandemic and how the bank hand-holds its clients into the new way of banking through the RCBC mobile app.
“It’s the core of everything we do and being recognized for it, for showing Filipinos that we can help them move forward through every personal banking need or challenge they face, makes it all more rewarding and worthwhile,” Chief Marketing Officer Ces Natividad said.
The campaign made use of data analytics to understand its clients’ profiles, challenges, and needs during the pandemic and matched it with the right banking solution. This resulted to a surge in online banking enrollments by 219% in July 2020, with 25% increase in RCBC Online banking app downloads. It also increased digital transactions such as fund transfers and bills payment.
Since the bank’s massive digital transformation in 2019, many banking services have been digitized and integrated into RCBC’s digital platform to enable safe and secure remote banking, making the banking app one of the most comprehensive banking apps in the industry.
