Rural Transit (Mindanao) Inc. held its annual stockholders’ meeting on February 10, 2021.
During the meeting, Olivia V. Yanson, Leo Rey V. Yanson, Charles M. Dumancas, Rey C. Ardo, Anita G. Chua, and Daniel Nicolas P. Golez were re-elected as members of RTMI’s board of directors.
Following the election of the directors, the board held an organizational meeting and reappointed Leo Rey V. Yanson as chairman of the board and president of RTMI, while Olivia V. Yanson was re-appointed as corporate secretary and treasurer, according to a company statement issued to reporters.
Despite the proper and timely notice given to them, stockholders Roy V. Yanson, Ricardo V. Yanson Jr., Ma. Lourdes Celina Y. Lopez, Ma. Susan F. Yanson, and Juan Manuel Lopez were absent, the statement said.
Roy, Celina and Ricky are believed to be unable to attend the meeting because they are abroad, together with their sister Emily V. Yanson.
The statement said the courts of Bacolod City issued outstanding warrants against the four siblings Roy, Celina, Ricky and Emily (Y4) for carnapping and for grave coercion.
Warrants of arrest have also been recently issued against Emily for the crimes of perjury and falsification of Vallacar Transit Inc.’s general information sheet. It is the same questionable GIS that is being used by Y4 to claim majority ownership of VTI, the statement said.
Meanwhile, RTMI chairman and president Leo Rey V. Yanson assured the public that despite the challenges faced in 2020, the company remains strong and resilient.
It continues to be steadfast in its goal to serve the Filipino people and remains committed to providing the riding public with the most reliable means of public transportation, he said.
